The holiday spirit was in full swing on Dec. 10 when 26 members and three guests of the British Club attended their annual Christmas Dinner Dance. This year they teamed up with Unit 5 and Unit 11 at the SaddleBrooke TWO MountainView clubhouse ballroom.
Everyone had a fabulous, festive evening, which began with enjoying the delicious passed appetizers of mini Beef Wellington with horseradish cream and mini shrimp cocktail bites in a phyllo cup. This was followed by pear, gorgonzola, heirloom mixed greens, and candied nuts with champagne tarragon vinaigrette.
There were wonderful entrée choices of passion fruit grilled salmon, peppercorn tenderloin, and roasted portobello tower. All entrées were accompanied by roasted fingerling potatoes and Italian herbed butter broccolini.
The finale to the meal was a scrumptious dessert of flourless chocolate torte with cherries jubilee sauce and whipped vanilla cream with freshly brewed coffee.
Raffles are always fun, and the winner this year won a marvelous cash prize that evening.
Chuck Moses, a SaddleBrooke favorite, added to the magic of the evening as a good many revelers danced their hearts away.
Everyone thanked Lynne Pendlebury for organizing this special holiday event for the British Club.
