Become a Knit Wit—Save Your Mind

Bin Davis

Extensive research has shown that lifestyle changes such as increased exercise, good diet, plenty of sleep, and correcting hearing loss may reduce the risk of dementia by up to 40%. Furthermore, “Anything that makes your brain work will reduce the risk of dementia but, interestingly, so does social contact, especially with people you haven’t met before or don’t see often, and especially in groups, is ideal.”

Knit Wits offers two proven avenues toward maintaining our minds: the challenge of learning and improving a craft and social contact with a group of friendly, lively, talented, and interesting people. We meet every Wednesday morning from 9 to 11 a.m. in Room 4 of the SaddleBrooke One craft area. You are invited to come join us and help your brain to stay active and alive.
