Webster’s Dictionary defines “creativity” as: the use of the imagination or original ideas, especially in the production of an artistic work. Applied to custom machine embroidery, Connie Sieverding qualifies as one of the most creative artists in the SaddleBrooke community.
Connie has sewn all of her life, but just five short years ago she began to master her creativity in the art of custom machine embroidery. In fact, her entire life changed after moving to SaddleBrooke.
A native of Appleton, Wisconsin and a rabid Packers fan, Connie received her undergraduate degree from Marian University and earned her Masters from Silver Lake College. She entered the world of business in Human Resources, specializing in Compensation and Benefit Design for Vantage West Credit Union for five years until her retirement in March of 2016.
Connie chose SaddleBrooke as her permanent residence six years ago after owning here as a part-time resident for two years. She selected a realtor and began to search for her new home. It was in this endeavor, she entered part two of her life-changing occurrence as the realtor was Dan Sieverding, well known to many homeowners in SaddleBrooke. Marriage and a new creative career all within a year so, as Paul Harvey would say, “Now you know the rest of the story.”
With her pursuit of creativity, Connie extended her sewing talent to custom embroidery. She is now recognized as one of the most creative in the craft. Her creations are distinguished and include custom personalized embroidery and pattern designs using digitizing software on a vast array of fabrics.
You may think of embroidery as monograms or a name on a garment or fabric, but Connie takes her craft further. With her sewing ability, she often creates the item followed by unique embroidery. An example is a ladies Jewelry Roll. Used most often for traveling, the piece has several zippered pockets and the cover has an artistic embroidered design.
Her list of creations are many such as monogramming for hand and bath towels, men’s dress shirts, ladies tote bags, polo shirts, clothing with a company logo or your community organization name to name a few.
As the holidays approach consider a festive embroidered table runner, a gift of guest towels or custom designed and embroidered Christmas stockings for your grandchildren. What a wonderful Christmas gift!
Connie’s daughter-in-law and son are soon expecting twins and upon arrival will find 26 Onesies, custom embroidered with cartoon animals, toys or specialty holiday ideas such as Halloween pumpkins, candy corn or a witch’s hat and shoes, all available in boys or girls favorite colors.
