You are invited to attend the December Art Salon where you will be introduced to the art of Andrew Goldsworthy. Goldsworthy incorporates found objects from nature to create his sculptures, then uses photography to capture images of his often-ephemeral art. Rather than interfering in natural processes, his work magnifies existing ones through deliberately minimal intervention in the landscape. The materials incorporated into his art include such items as brightly colored flowers, leaves, mud, pinecones, snow, icicles, stone, and twigs. All program attendees are encouraged to bring a few small stones, leaves, or other items from nature, which we will use to create and photograph a group art piece near the close of this program.

Born in 1956 and a lifetime artist, he continues to create. With the passage of time, his works have become increasingly permanent in nature, further solidifying his legacy. It is hoped that you will enjoy the uniqueness and creativity of Goldsworthy’s methods and works and that you will be able to attend.

This Art Salon meets Dec. 17 at 10:30 a.m. in the SaddleBrooke TWO Topaz Room. I think you will enjoy this unique artist presentation.
