The Gaslight Music Hall located at 13005 N. Oracle Road in Oro Valley will present a SaddleBrooke Showcase of Talent on Wednesday, September 7 at 6:00 p.m.
The show, produced by Walter Fritz and directed by Carol Jones, both SaddleBrooke residents, will feature the Coyote Country Cloggers, comedian Chris Borden, ‘60s and ‘70s singer Ann Marie Alvir, the SaddleBrooke Silver Belles dance team and country singer Bob Stiens.
No admission will be charged, but attendees are encouraged to support the Gaslight Music Hall by purchasing food and drinks while they enjoy the show. Reservations are strongly recommended; please call 520-529-1000 or visit gaslightmusichall.com to reserve your table.
A full menu, featuring Grandma Tony’s pizza, wings and other delicious offerings, including beer and wine, can be purchased starting at 6:00 p.m. Please arrive early and order before the show begins at 7:00 p.m.
The Coyote Country Cloggers have been entertaining all across Arizona for more than 20 years and in Las Vegas, Nashville and Scottsdale. They have participated in 10 SaddleBrooke Variety Shows clogging to country western, bluegrass, patriotic and gospel music and at retirement homes, bluegrass festivals, home shows, county fairs and schools. Director Carol Jones choreographs all the dance routines and she also teaches clogging classes in SaddleBrooke.
Comedian Chris Borden graduated from the University of Arizona. He was a top rated broadcast personality in San Francisco; worked in the travel-documentary film field while visiting more than 90 countries; sailed his own boat throughout Europe while filming his adventures; appeared in television commercials and acted in local theater in Hawaii. He was also a regular on the CBS show, Jake and the Fat Man while living in Hawaii and he was a drama coach for 17 years.
Bob Stiens has been entertaining people with his classic country and rock and roll music for many years. Wearing his signature black cowboy hat, he sings at the clubhouses and restaurants in SaddleBrooke as well as at unit parties, birthday celebrations and the Bluegrass Jam. His deep rich voice makes him a favorite in SaddleBrooke and his performances always draw big crowds.
The SaddleBrooke Silver Belles are a highly spirited and talented dance group who dance to a variety of musical styles including jazz, Broadway, Latin rhythms, country western and holiday favorites. The Silver Belles perform at community events, musical variety shows, special event celebrations, reunions, retirement centers, neighborhood socials and parties throughout the greater Tucson area. Ann Marie Alvir began singing as a child for relatives, putting on shows for their enjoyment and she performed in high school musicals. Then she did nothing more with her talent until she moved to SaddleBrooke with her husband in 2008. Since then she has participated in karaoke events at the clubhouse and performed in two Variety Shows at the DesertView Performing Arts Center.
