Jane Gromelski
You’ve seen others dancing on the floor, now see how easy it is; come and learn the Texas-Two-Step and the Western Waltz and experience a boot stomping, ground pounding good time! We just started our most recent series of classes on March 2 but do not despair, we will have classes in the fall starting in mid-October.
So mark your calendar for October. Western Dance is the easiest dance style to learn and classes are relaxed and fun. If you can walk, you can dance! Our students leave classes smiling.
Dancing is good for the mind and the body; it keeps you young at heart. How many other sports allow you to hold your partner in your arms as you participate? We recommend smooth leather soled shoes or boots. Contact Jane to reserve a space in the class for October.
Intermediate dance classes will also be available in the fall.
Our Partner Pattern Dance classes will continue on Thursdays through March and April. We will teach the easier Pattern dances at 6:00 p.m. and then at 6:45 p.m. we will teach the intermediate level of Partner Pattern dances. These look intimidating but when we analyze the parts they become very danceable. We want to spend a few weeks on each dance, then move on to the next Pattern dance. These classes will be $4 per person per class. Partner Pattern dances really add variety to our dancing fun. Classes will be held in the Mesquite Fitness Room.
Partners Western Dance Club, a separate entity, has scheduled dances through all of 2016. Our final scheduled dance for the spring is April 15 with Branded Duo and we will have a buffet. Tickets for this buffet dance will be $25 for members, $30 for nonmembers. We always have a cash bar available to add to our dancing fun.
For the fall we have a dance on November 13, a Sunday; Monday, December 5 and our New Year’s Eve celebration on December 31. Moving into 2017 we have a dance on Thursday, January 26, Friday, February 17, March 23 and April 7. Mark your calendar; you don’t want to miss any of these ground pounding, boot stomping good times.
Grab your partner, some friends and come join the growing number of Western dancers here in SaddleBrooke.
