Happy Tail: Meet Mulligan

Lisa John

On a very hot summer morning in August, SaddleBrooke Pet Rescue Network received a call about a small dog running around one of the golf courses in the Preserve. When we went to pick him up, we found the cutest, friendliest, mellowest little guy ever! He jumped right in the car and laid down on the seat without a fuss.

A foster was quickly found and the process of trying to find his owners began. Without a collar or chip, we advertised everywhere hoping that his family would contact us. Unfortunately, no one came forward.

During this time, his foster Ann Villa and her dog Danny absolutely fell in love with him! The feeling was mutual! After receiving his vaccines and neutering, this little guy became a “failed foster” as Ann and Danny decided that they couldn’t live without him.

Mulligan is now safe and loved by his new mommy and big brother!

Thanks to the donations that SBPRN receives from our very generous SaddleBrooke donors Mulligan has a wonderful new life!

Millions for Tucson Raffle

In May, a mother dog and her older puppy were rescued with the help of SaddleBrooke Pet Rescue Network (SBPRN) near the entrance to the Preserve. She appeared to have been abandoned on the road. SBPRN found a foster willing to take in both mamma and her puppy. What a surprise we received when the next day she gave birth to a litter of 8 new puppies! The foster family went above and beyond keeping the mamma and all her puppies safe as we looked for permanent homes for all of them. We are happy to celebrate that “furever” homes were found for each and every one! SBPRN provided all monetary needs for food and vet bills in order to save these wonderful dogs.

SaddleBrooke Pet Rescue Network was so happy to have helped make this a happily ever after story. You can help too! We are once again participating in the Millions for Tucson Raffle. This raffle supports 501(c)(3) organizations based here in Southern Arizona.

Participating organizations retain all proceeds from ticket sales. The prizes are provided by Jim Click.

Grand Prize: 2026 Nissan Frontier Pro-4X Roush Edition

Second Prize: Two First Class Round Trip Airline Tickets to anywhere in the World (*some restrictions apply)

Back By Popular Demand: SaddleBrooke Pet Rescue Network Thanksgiving Pie Fundraiser

Lisa John

Many people know that SaddleBrooke Pet Rescue provides funds to our Rescue Organizations and local Shelters with your generous donations and through our Fashion Show Fundraiser. However, did you know that SaddleBrooke Pet Rescue also has another very important mission? That of rehoming pets: sometimes a resident needs help finding a new home for their beloved pet; sometimes an animal is brought into our neighborhood and abandoned. In both of these cases, short term fosters are found and provided with food, bowls, crates, and beds for the length of the animal’s stay. If vet care is needed in order for the animal to be rehomed, we financially make sure that happens. All are rehomed to SaddleBrooke residents that have contacted us looking for a new friend to share their life with.

SaddleBrooke Pet Rescue is thrilled to once again hold a pie fundraiser to help us continue to support furry babies. We have bakers excited to make a fresh homemade pumpkin or apple pie for the low price of $15 just for you!

This year we will not be pre-ordering pies. Pies will be available for pick-up on Nov. 24 on a first come-first-served basis. Pick-up location is: 37802 S. Niblick Dr. starting at 8 a.m. Supplies are limited—once they’re gone, they’re gone.

Thank you again for your continued support!
