Sonoran Singers presented a stellar performance for the Senior Village music matinee in early April. As the summer approaches the Sonoran Singers gave one last sing-out at Watermark in Oro Valley before their summer hiatus, and each lady was honored by receiving a special rose.
With only a couple rehearsals in May, they have already begun working on a fun program for the Christmas/Holiday Extravaganza scheduled for December at the DesertView Performing Arts Center (DVPAC). You will be thrilled to see and hear them perform once again on the big stage. Full of surprises, some new and old selections you won’t want to miss.
The ladies plan to reconvene rehearsals in mid-August. We hope to see more ladies step in to hear our practice sessions and have a deep desire to sing-along as a member of the 20 lady three part (SSA) group directed by Cora Peters. Rehearsals will be Wednesday, 3 to 5 p.m. in the Sonoran Room (unless otherwise designated). If interested or you would like more information regarding the group, you can contact Cora at corakpeters@gmail.com.
