MountainView/Preserve Women’s Golf Association (MPWGA) enjoyed the arrival of March, with its lush green landscapes, beautiful wildflowers, and a number of community and league golf events.

At the MountainView Masters Par 3 Event, held on March 15, MPWGA member Mia Caulk earned the Ladies Low Gross Green Jacket, while Denise Cashmore tied for Women’s Low Net. The tournament was a charitable success, raising $760 for PGA HOPE.

On St. Patrick’s Day, MPWGA headed to The Preserve for its “Easy Holes,” Ace of the Month, and State Medallion competitions. Thank you to HSL & Associates (event sponsor), and The Moore Advantage Team (KP hole sponsor). Congratulations to the March Ace winners Anne Cole (Gross 82), and Judy Grow and Andrea Gray (Net 73 tie). KP winners were Tina Donovan (Hole #4 for 20+ handicap), and Anne Cole (Hole #11 for 19 or less handicap).

Finally, a special shout-out to MPWGA member Jo Helms for her dedication to the 27th Annual MountainView Collegiate Women’s Golf Tournament, held March 20 to22. She has been the volunteer coordinator for 18 years! This year’s tournament, held at The Preserve Golf Club, hosted 16 teams from coast-to-coast, and was a perfect way to honor the talent of young women in golf during the same month as International Women’s Day. The SaddleBrooke community once again overflowed with support for this event, through donations, volunteering, and home hosting coordinated by Lori Hill.
