The MountainView/Preserve Women’s Golf Association (MPWGA) held its 2026 Presidents Cup Golf Tournament on Feb. 10 and 11. The overall title was awarded to the player with the best two-round low net total. Last year’s champion, Lori Stegink, organized this year’s successful event, which was sponsored by The Moore Advantage. Both rounds featured an 8:30 a.m. shotgun start, with the first round held at The Preserve Golf Course and the second at MountainView. Thirty-six golfers competed across six flights named in honor of past MPWGA presidents: Brenda Creel, Judy Grow, Debbie McMullin, Janey Clausen, Ann Martin, and Kate Pope.

Under gorgeous weather, consistency paid off for longtime member and club photographer Andrea Gray. Gray claimed the 2026 Cup with a two-day net total of 140. During the presentation, Stegink described Gray as a “Steady Eddy” who truly deserved the win. Reflecting on her performance, Gray noted, “I started at The Preserve with a bogey on hole 14 but finished strong with a birdie on 11 and pars on 12 and 13.”

Tournament Highlights:

• Round 1 (The Preserve): Deb Anderson led with a low net of 70, followed by Gray (71) and Stegink (72).

• Round 2 (MountainView): Jane Megrdle took low net honors with a 65, followed by Jenni Farquhar (67), while Gray, Linda Schauer, and Ralene Peters all carded a 69.

• Awards: Flights paid out to three places (with ties broken by USGA rules), and Closest-to-the-Pin (KP) honors were awarded on all par 3s during both rounds.

The tournament concluded with an awards luncheon in the MountainView ballroom. Congratulations to Andrea Gray and all the participants! For full results and info on upcoming events, visit the MPWGA official website.
