With the temperatures rising, we’re anticipating a wonderful spring season of events.
Valentine’s Day Cocktail Party: Hara Lipman and George Delzell hosted a full house for our very successful potluck cocktail party. I lost count, as people kept coming. The table was filled with delicious appetizers and desserts as attendees mingled, noshed, and enjoyed each other’s company. The perfect weather enabled us to appreciate their beautiful backyard.
Ladies Coffee. Feb. 24 at the home of Marcia Gilbert. I hope you joined us at Marcia’s lovely home. As always, these Coffees provide a few hours for us to catch up with each other, share stories, and relax. Marcia graciously invited a few of her neighbors to join us, and they all joined the Jewish Friendship Group (JFG)!
Men’s Dinner. Feb. 26 in the MountainView East Room. Twenty men enjoyed an evening of interesting discussion. Each month the attendees will decide on a topic, ranging from technology and modern life to issues regarding retirement and lifestyles. See below for future meetings.
Upcoming Events
Dinner and Bingo. Sunday, March 8, at 5 p.m. at SaddleBrooke One. You are probably reading this after the fact, and I’m writing this a full week before! I hope you joined us for this event. Read my full recap next month.
Men’s Dinners. March 19 and April 16 at 5:30 p.m. in the MountainView East Room. Although this venue will provide the atmosphere necessary for lively and private discussion, it will require limiting participants to 20. I suggest you contact Jeff Luftig at jeffreyluftig@gmail.com to let him know your desire to attend ASAP.
Ladies Coffee. March 25 at 10:30 a.m. Sharon Triester and Eileen Feldgus have graciously volunteered to host this event at Sharon’s house. As always, attending these Coffees gives us the opportunity to slow down, enjoy a cup of coffee, and laugh. Please watch for email for online registration.
Second Night Seder. April 2 at the SaddleBrooke One Vistas. Please join us for this very special evening where we come together in tradition, hope, and friendship. To everyone who joins us annually, we look forward to seeing you again. To those who have never attended, this is the perfect year to start. We are planning a lovely abbreviated seder with a modern vibe. A full-course dinner will include everything needed to make this seder special. The cost is $43 for members and $48 for non-members. While we encourage payment via Zelle, checks are perfectly acceptable. For questions, contact Sharon Hoff at sharonthoff921@gmail.com. Members, look for an email with the registration form.
Potluck. Tuesday, April 28, at the SaddleBrooke One Activity Center. Comfort foods—those meals which either made a bad day better or made a good day spectacular. It’s time to reach into your memories and find those old recipes. Personally, I still eat as if I were a teen. Please watch for emails on RSVP and registration information. Contact Hara Lipman at h_lipman@msn.com with questions.
As a strictly social club, we welcome all our neighbors to join us. For any further information about the JFG or any of our events, please contact our president Sandy Rosen at sandyrosen458458@gmail.com.
