Join us Monday, Jan. 8, at DesertView Performing Arts Center for the SaddleBrooke Health Night Out presentation “Endocrine Disorder Management and New Surgical Techniques.” Doors open at 6:45 p.m., and the presentation begins at 7 p.m.

This is a unique opportunity to hear Dr. Barbra Miller of BannerUniversity Medical Center Tucson speak about common endocrine disorders of the thyroid, parathyroid, adrenal glands, and other neuroendocrine tumors.

She’ll discuss:

* Evaluating and managing options for thyroid nodules, thyroid cancer, hyperparathyroidism, adrenal nodules, and cancer

* Disorders of excess hormones, such as hyperthyroidism and Graves’ disease, Cushing syndrome, Conn syndrome, and pheochromocytoma

* Medical and surgical techniques, including the most advanced and minimally invasive options

* Robotic surgery for adrenal nodules

* Office-based radiofrequency ablation of thyroid nodules.

About Barbra S. Miller, MD, FACS

Dr. Miller is an internationally recognized endocrine surgeon. She spent nearly 15 years at the University of Michigan contributing to the development of its world-class endocrine surgery and endocrine oncology programs, then served as director of clinical operations for the Division of Surgical Oncology at Ohio State University. Her clinical practice encompasses surgical management of thyroid, parathyroid, adrenal and other neuroendocrine tumors. In addition to being widely recognized as a resource and mentor to surgeons across the U.S., she has more than 100 publications in multiple journals, textbooks, and has been an invited speaker nationally and internationally.
