Summertime and the livin’ is easy—but not at the Golden Goose! Our loyal year-round customers continue their donations and beat the heat by shopping for Goose bargains in air-conditioned comfort. That’s the good news; the bad news is we lose a substantial number of volunteers to lakeside cottages and leafy glades in exotic places like Washington, Oregon, Wisconsin and Illinois.
So, if you have even a few half-days to spare this summer and want to spend your time doing something fun and meaningful, please lend a hand to the Goose!
Orientations for new volunteers are usually run on the third Monday of each month but, to attract more new volunteers, the Goose is doing the one-hour orientations on both the first and third Mondays in June, July and August from 3:00 to 4:00 p.m. Mark your calendar for any of the following dates: June 1 and 15, July 6 and 20 and August 3 and 17.
