SaddleBrooke and SaddleBrooke Ranch Senior Softball Action

Debbie Seguin makes a spectacular sliding catch.

Well, SaddleBrooke and SaddleBrooke Ranch Senior Softball fans, here it is March 26 and SaddleBrooke Progress deadline time. Here’s the latest in the action-packed world of SB softball.

Ranchers Welcome!

Yeah, all you Ranchers, in case you didn’t know, are welcome to come on down to the SB softball field, check it all out, and if you’re feeling like strapping on the cleats again, sign up.

Tournament Action

Our St. Patrick’s Day Tournament is in the books! Yessiree, neighbors, about 300 softball aficionados came on down to the field to enjoy some softball “dramedy,” brats, burgers, dogs, drinks, and “take me out to the ballgame” organ music by Mike Sasche (veteran DJ, Leroy Johnson cruising the South Pacific—you dog!). Four games of softball entertainment were offered sponsored (appreciatively) by Debra Miller-State Farm and Golf Cars Of Arizona. Thanks again. Four action-packed games were put on, and although nobody really remembers the results, all remember the good time on a beautiful day here in the Brooke.

Winter League Action

Well, the Winter League has just three full weeks left, ending April 18. The softballers will take a three-week break, and no doubt many of our winter players will start packing up for their trek back to their summer homes (mosquito-ville, I says).

On Mondays in Recreational, the insurance giants Allstate and State Farm are locked in battle! Brittni Guttman-Allstate and Debra Miller-State Farm are at 5-5 each. In Community, Ambient Air has climbed all the way out of the cellar, just weeks ago at 2-7, to win six in a row and lead the league at 8-7. Beyond Clean has faded, and although still at 8-7, are in second based on runs scored/against. Cactus Overhead Doors is now in the cellar at 7-9.

On Tuesdays in Community, Cleere Law Offices is 6-4 to their softball partners in mayhem, Dominick’s Italian, at 4-6. In Competitive, Leah Kari Solutions is smokin’ hot at 13-2, with Concierge Heating and Cooling at 7-8 and Hughes Credit Union way overdrawn at 2-12.

Wednesday Community has Healthy Skin Dermatology 5-3 to the Community Church of SB’s 3-5. In Sidewinder, Hardin Bros. Automotive has crept ahead of KJK Insurance Advocates 4-3 to KJK’s 3-4.

In Thursday Coyote, Absolutely Art is still leading the way at 7-5, with Barron Electric at 5-5 and Canine & Co. in the dawg house at 4-6.

On Fridays in Competitive, Player’s Pub at 7-2 is serving it up to Bubb’s Grub at 5-3, with Andy’s Irrigation at 2-9. In Community, Ann Fraley-Long Realty is 6-6, with Big Bear Garage Doors making a charge, now at 5-5 and tied with Catalina Family Dentistry, also at 5-5.

Anyhoo, that’s a wrap! C’mon down to the field and check out the action. The softball junkies will be down at the field every weekday slapping the softball around. Ditto Saturday mornings when the softballers tune the gloves and bats with some batting and fielding practice. Or you can surf the SaddleBrooke Senior Softball Association at saddlebrookesoftball.com.
