Life changes in SaddleBrooke. Through years of Rebecca’s teaching, just about every life change is seen—death, illness, cancer, joint replacement, vacations, births, unretirements—name it. Since we live with aging adults the concentration of maturity gives unique perspective in facing negative changes far more frequently. This in your face lifestyle may lead to depression, isolation and even desperation. Combating this with proven methods like exercise and socialization is important. Participation in life around SaddleBrooke may key your happiness and survival. Also realize that with aging some beloved activities may become too much. When that happens be open to reaching into the community for something new. Having a part to play within the community can be the antidote for inevitable lows and blows we will experience. Instead of dwelling on the negatives, let’s move on to different situations.
One choice is line dance – fun, social, mind and body healthy and out of the house. Consider that lessons may be your activity choice. Dancing with Rebecca gives you advantages: class size control, dances chosen for knowledge to dance anywhere, extensive review in each series and dances appropriate for your skills. For those who have physical limits/injuries, there are step and posture modifications provided for safety and comfort. Songs are chosen for lyrics (commonly Country because let’s hear about a tractor, a beer or lost love) and all music types. Class gives ample time for the exercise and cost under $4 per hour. Finally there are three distinct skill levels to choose from so you can be comfortable dancing. Come have fun, learn and laugh with Rebecca in summer 2014.
Level 1 Beginners class is for those new to line dancing and for those whose age and speed are receding. For newcomers modest pace dancers Level 1 is the best. Classes are Monday at HOA 1. This summer you can also dance Level 1 Wednesday at SaddleBrooke Ranch.
Level 2 Easy Intermediate classes provide faster learning. Those with previous training may be able to enter here. Classes are Monday afternoon in HOA 2 aerobics room and Tuesday at HOA 1. This summer you can even dance Level 2 Wednesday at SaddleBrooke Ranch.
Level 3 Intermediate is most challenging with more complexity and a vigorous workout. If you have stamina and experience a very few have started here; classes are Thursdays.
Saturday afternoon practice sessions occur year round for Levels 2 and 3 in order to perfect skills and increase stamina and mainly for a lot of fun and laughter. Level 1 practices on Thursday afternoon.
It’s signup time for the summer. If you’re gone for the season plan to dance with Rebecca fall and winter and get listed for a class fall ’14/winter ‘15. Summer Series is 14 classes in each Level. Provisions are always made for starting late/missing due to travels.
Classes are taught on a reservation only basis. For information on Line Dancing lessons or to register contact Rebecca Magdanz at [email protected] or phone 818-2656. Rebecca has been helping dancers in SaddleBrooke since 2008.
