For nearly 40 years, Fishkind, Bakewell, Maltzman, Hunter & Associates has grown both in size and capability. While we’ve expanded our team and locations to better serve the Tucson community, we felt that our original name no longer fully represented who we aspire to be. Rebranding as Oracle Eye Physicians & Surgeons allows us to embody our commitment to clarity, trusted expertise, and a renewed focus on guiding each patient toward the best solutions for their eye care—because when it comes to your vision, it truly matters who you see.
You may be wondering, why the name change? There are a few reasons but, most importantly, Oracle Eye Physicians & Surgeons better represents what we’re here to do: provide the highest quality, technologically advanced medical and surgical eye care in an environment that fosters compassion, communication, and trust.
This rebrand isn’t just a new look; it’s a renewed promise to bring Tucson the highest standard of care, supported by fellowship-trained doctors, state-of-the-art centers, and decades of trusted service. Together, we’re setting a future-focused approach to eye health.
We offer a full spectrum of medical and surgical anterior segment ophthalmic care. All our surgeons perform topical, clear-cornea cataract surgery, including complex cases, and offer a wide range of IOL options, including toric, multifocal, and light-adjustable lenses. Our glaucoma specialists, Jeff S. Maltzman, MD, and Michael D. Henry, MD, offer a broad range of therapeutics, including intracameral drug delivery, SLT, MIGS procedures, and traditional filtering surgery such as trabeculectomy and glaucoma drainage devices. Brian A. Hunter, MD, and Tatyana Sherman, MD, our refractive surgical specialists, perform LASIK, PRK, and refractive lens exchange. Dr. Sherman also specializes in the management of corneal diseases, performing DMEK, DSEK, PKP, and other surgical corneal procedures.
Richard Lewis, MD, our medical ophthalmologist, along with our optometrists, Andrew Huttenhoff, OD; Seanna V. From, OD; and Lauren Evans, OD, provide primary eye care services and medical exams and assist with pre- and post-operative evaluations and management.
