SaddleBrooke Pet Rescue Network – December 2024

Thanks to Our Generous Donors

During this time of holiday cheer, we thought we would let all the generous donors to SaddleBrooke Pet Rescue Network know just how much “cheer” you’ve brought to furry babies over the course of this year.

Through your generous donations, we were able to provide these services to our SaddleBrooke community:

• Facilitate 11 adoptions,

• Rescue eight animals that were either lost or abandoned here, and

• Rehomed one animal due to SaddleBrooke resident unable to care for their beloved pet.

For our adoption partners HOPE Animal Shelter, RoRescue, Pima Animal Care Center, Lifeline Oro Valley Animal Rescue, Ruff Rescue Tucson, PAWsitively Cats, Cherished Tails Senior Sanctuary, and Friends of Pinal County Animal Shelter, we were able to provide:

• $8,000 for pet food,

• $4,000 for spay and neuter clinics,

• $4,000 in vet bills for two rescued animals to be rehomed,

• $6,000 critical-care needs,

• $2,000 stipend to help rehome long-stay dogs, and

• $800 for staff training.

Thank you all so much for your generosity! You have made a difference in the lives of many animals! Happy and safe holidays to everyone! (arf, arf, meow, meow)

SaddleBrooke Pet Rescue Network’s Monthly Pet Donation Drop-Off Program

Marcy Vernon

Our various pet charities are always in need and are always thankful for your donations. Please consider dropping off any of the items listed below. Cash donations are also accepted and appreciated. The drop-off location is at the SaddleBrooke One bocce ball courts. It is the first Friday of every month. Remember, we are a 501(c)(3) organization, and a receipt is available upon request.

Drop-off hours are 8:30 to 9:30 a.m.

Fall/winter hours are October through April.

Caution: Please drive up slowly and watch for volunteers at the cones!

We always need pet food. If opened, please label brand, type of food, and expiration date.

We accept most pet-related items that are in clean, gently used condition, such as towels and sheets (both flat and fitted) and blankets. No mattress pads, mattress covers, or bedspreads, please.

Pet crates of any size are accepted. Please break them down before donating.

Small cat trees under three feet long are accepted.

We cannot accept any Poly-fil items, such as pillows, as they present a choking hazard. Nor can we accept any rugs with rubber backing.

Any items accepted are at the discretion of the volunteers.

Please do not leave items unattended.
