Luncheon centerpiece for Niners Turkey Shoot

It was a fun and beautiful day on the golf course, followed by a delicious lunch where the league welcomed new members Geri Conser, Jacquie Christiansen, Nancy Maglio, and Sharon Maxwell. Active members now total 111.
Thanks to Teri Tindal for organizing our Turkey Shoot on Nov. 12. The Turkey Shoot is an annual event. This year the Niners played a scramble. No turkeys were allowed on the course! The competition paid four places. First place went to Nancy Maglio, Pat Avery, Hedy Gryszan, and Sue Schliepsiek. Coming in second was the team of Julie Klarkowski, Linda Merritt, Cheryl Hays, and Sylvia Kastelic. Third place went to Marilyn Fisher, Shirley Morris, Louise O’Donald, and Wanda Ross. In fourth place were Cindy Witt, LeAnn Ellingson, Susan Goebel, and Sue Grazier. Congrats, players! And a big yahoo to Karen Wendlandt who won the “turkey” (a Fry’s gift card).
The decorations for our luncheons are always amazing, thanks to the ingenuity and creativity of Vicki Long and Pat Avery. It is unbelievable how creative these ladies are! They continue to amaze us at every luncheon with fun and beautiful decorations. Thank you!
The annual golf and holiday luncheon was on Dec. 10. It was a fun time for all and a time to reflect on 2024. Golder Ranch Fire District attended the luncheon, with cash or check donations being accepted to support Toys for Tots.
As 2025 approaches, we want to give a shout-out to our 2024 officers and committees. It takes a village, and we are thankful for all their energies and efforts. Many members help on a daily and weekly basis as well, but without a “title,” these people work behind the scenes, ensuring all goes well with our league.
And we would be remiss in not recognizing the Pro Shop. Those friendly faces behind the desk who keep smiling are always polite and helpful. Jane Chanik and Molly Fullerton, our golf professionals, are always there for us. Then, what would we do without our beautiful golf course? Thank you, Mike and Mike and your entire staff. Without you, we would not have the most beautiful course in our area. And a huge thank you to our 2024 sponsors: Desert Life Pharmacy, RidgeView Physical Therapy, The Moore Advantage, Coyote Golf Cars, Golf Cars of Arizona, and Morris Hall PLLC. We so appreciate your support of our league! And thanks also to the SaddleBrooke restaurant staff who ensures we have delicious luncheons and great service.
