What’s Going on With Trico Electric?

Residents of SaddleBrooke get their electricity from Trico Electric Cooperative. As Members of the Cooperative, we have a responsibility to understand the challenges and opportunities facing the organization, both today and in the future.

Join your neighbors for an informative presentation by Trico representatives on Wednesday, Nov. 6, from 1 to 2:30 p.m. in the DesertView Theater. Doors open at 12:30 p.m.

The program is sponsored by the SaddleBrooke Public Affairs Commission (SPAC) whose mission is to gath

er information and monitor external trends that may have an impact on residents in our community. SPAC members reside in both SaddleBrooke One and SaddleBrooke TWO.

In addition to hearing about Trico’s history and current service operations, we’ll explore questions like:

1) Should we expect rate increases?

2) What percentage of the power used by SaddleBrooke residents is supplied by renewable energy?

3) The number of electric vehicles in SaddleBrooke is growing. How will Trico support this evolution?

4) What alternative power sources are available during outages and emergencies?

5) Are there residential-sized, solar-powered generators available?

6) How large is the new solar farm west of Oracle? Is it available for tours?

There is no charge for the program, and attendees are welcome to ask questions following Trico’s remarks.

If you have any questions, please contact SPAC member Dick Schroeder at [email protected].
