Stars, Stripes, and Paws: SaddleBrooke Dog Park’s Patriotic Party

Anne Quinn-Diment

Fourth of July holiday spirit was on display at the Patriotic Pawsome Party at the SaddleBrooke Dog Park on July 6. Camp Bow Wow sponsored the event, which was a tail-wagging success, with many Dog Park members and their pooches having great fun.

The red, white, and blue theme created a festive atmosphere that was enjoyed by all. Dog Park members and their furry friends were greeted at a sponsor table and encouraged to partake in activities that included a photo booth, lots of bubbles, and two splash pools.

At the popular photo booth, pups struck their most adorable poses with a few red, white, and blue props. Snapshots were featured on the SaddleBrooke Dog Park Facebook page.

Camp Bow Wow brought a bubble machine, which was a highlight of the event and a source of fascination for the four-legged friends. The bubble blower produced a stream of dog-safe, colorful orbs that floated through the air to rest on the green grass (if they were not chased and popped mid-air first). Dogs of all breeds and sizes sniffed, nipped, popped, and chased the bubbles.

Finally, two pup-friendly pools provided a perfect way to cool off on the warm summer morning. Dogs of all sizes and breeds enthusiastically splashed and enjoyed water play, which helped release some of their pent-up energy.

The party also provided an opportunity to meet the new staff of Dog Park sponsor Camp Bow Wow. Attendees learned about the services offered, including doggy day care, grooming, and boarding. The friendly staff members were on hand to answer questions and provide information. Camp Bow Wow Tucson is located close to SaddleBrooke at 16725 N. Oracle Road.
