Keeping cool during Arizona’s hottest month is no small task, even for those of us who have lived here for years. We’ve all developed our favorite ways to beat the heat, but the grand prize has to go to Bonnie Westra and Joan Chyall. These two SBWGA players showed us that it’s possible to keep your cool and be sizzling hot simultaneously, as they sunk their holes-in-one this June.
Bonnie set the stage by sinking her ace on June 6 on SaddleBrooke 6 using her driver at 131 yards. Joan followed 10 days later on June 16 to score her ace on Tucson 8 using a 7 wood from 110 yards. Huge congratulations to both Bonnie and Joan for their holes-in-one!
We also congratulate our aces of the month in June: Deb Fenton (gross) and Marie Kahng (net). Well done, ladies!
