It was “Roll Out the Barrel, Let’s Have a Barrel of Fun” Day on Feb. 28 when 24 members and two guests of the British Club met at the home of Susan and Jim Biestek for a Potluck Pub Night. And roll out the barrel they did, enjoying the camaraderie of fellow members, friends, and guests. Our favorite monarch, Queen Elizabeth II, joined us in spirit by way of a life-size image, and our Pearly Queen, our very own Ethel Willmot.
They dined on a selection of delicious culinary delights, including sausage rolls, Swedish meatballs, plates of shrimp with cocktail sauce, salmon pancakes, quiche, salads, and artichoke dip. Bread pudding was on the menu for dessert, together with chocolate-dipped strawberries with grapes, brownies, and trifle.
Everyone thanked Susan and Jim for inviting us into their home for this fabulous Pub Night.
