Senior Village is requesting rezoning for its property on E. Acacia Hills Lane, opposite the Loma Serena neighborhood. The aim is to transition from residential to commercial zoning, paving the way for the construction of an office space adjacent to SaddleBrooke.

In a display of solidarity, HOA1 and HOA2 board members expressed unanimous support for Senior Village’s plan to rezone a parcel of land and build a long-awaited office next to SaddleBrooke.
This collective endorsement, along with dozens of others from community members, will be submitted to the Pinal County Board of Supervisors as part of Senior Village’s application to rezone the land, which is located across from the Loma Serena neighborhood on East Acacia Hills Lane. The Board of Supervisors will consider support letters in their rezoning decision.
“With an office on Acacia Hills Road, located exactly in the middle of both HOA properties, Senior Village at SaddleBrooke (SVSB) volunteers will have greater access to staff to help organize the many services and programs offered. SVSB will have a permanent place to call ‘home,’” states the December 2023 letter. “We respectfully request that the Pinal County Board of Supervisors approve the rezoning request before them. An office for SVSB, located on Acacia Hill Road, will aid SVSB in their efforts to support the residents of SaddleBrooke now and well into the future.”
Despite serving more than 2,000 members and 400 volunteers, the organization lacks a dedicated office space. Temporarily, the executive director and office supplies are housed in two casitas, which have been generously loaned to Senior Village by SaddleBrooke residents who staunchly support the organization’s mission. Six part-time staff work remotely, hindering collaborative effort and productivity. A permanent office will create a workspace for employees, centralize operations, facilitate efficient communication, and sustain Senior Village’s work in the years ahead.
Senior Village has grown by leaps and bounds since its inception. The organization’s founders envisioned a network of “neighbors helping neighbors” in which volunteers who wish to be of service aid members who need help with tasks to live independently. In the subsequent years, Senior Village has gone on to become an integral part of the SaddleBrooke community, adding many more needed services and even organizing resident vaccinations during the COVID pandemic.
