Due to circumstances beyond our control, the regular Monday morning putting had been put on hold beginning in May, when the SaddleBrooke TWO golf maintenance project broke ground and started their six-month course renovation. But there is no stopping us. “Keep the ball rolling,” so we did! The Lady Putters have continued to be active with their regular second Monday of the month luncheons featuring special speakers, fun games, and delightful entertainment.
The May luncheon started the ball rolling featuring a special presentation by pharmacist Brianne Spaeth from our very own SaddleBrooke Desert Life Pharmacy (voted Readers’ Choice “Best Pharmacy in Tucson” winner 2021 and 2022). She was very informative regarding the COVID and shingles vaccines and other health-related questions.
To start off the summer, in June, putters Jean Kraus and Kim Klindtworth organized and led four exciting rounds of Golf Bingo. The winners, Loretta Edgerton, Kathy Rambur, Sally Murphy, and Judy Falewicz, were awarded a SaddleBrooke TWO gift card.
At the July luncheon, we were honored to host Linda Hampton, executive director of Senior Village, speaking to the ladies about the many services available to residents of SaddleBrooke.
The fun will continue in August when a challenging game of trivia will be led by Joyce Satay. Then, to top off the summer, we will be entertained by the Hawaiian Hula Group of SaddleBrooke in September. You won’t want to miss out on all the good times we share together. Go Putters!
