2014 Christmas Social gathering
It’s that time of year to embrace your inner elf, put on that corny holiday sweater, wrap up a little sumpin, sumpin and get together with good friends. Over forty members of the SaddleBrooke Line Dance Club gathered at the SaddleBrooke Clubhouse-—which always looks wonderfully festive at this time of year-—for the annual holiday line dance party and luncheon. Our social committee super elves, Lynne Kumza and Shirley Miller, did a beautiful job decking the halls and creating table decor. Note: it took them three hours to make those Hershey Bar reindeer folks! The merry making began and ended with line dancing to holiday music. Our dancers proved that cowboy boots and Christmas carols make for jolly fa-la-la-la-la. The seated and served luncheon was a much appreciated break. Kudos to the HOA 1 F&B crew for the delicious crepes! The highlight of the party was the Secret Santa gift swap where every dancer gave and received a surprise gift. They say “tis better to give than receive” but you sure couldn’t tell. Everyone seemed to enjoy the receiving and browsing the tables to admire each other’s treasures.
With the holidays behind us, it’s time to turn our thoughts toward setting goals for the New Year. Why not try a little line dancing? You won’t need a scientific study to notice the immediate de-stressing effects. You also won’t need a partner! Come attend our instructional Tuesday Level 1 Workshop which is held from 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. in the Vermilion Room. Or drop in to our Wednesday Level 1 program from 10:00 a.m. to noon at the MountainView Ballroom.
