U of A Wind Ensemble and Wind Symphony
Lincoln’s Birthday Concert will be presented Wednesday, February 26, 2014, at 7:30 p.m. at the DesertView Performing Arts Center, 39900 S. Clubhouse Drive in SaddleBrooke, Arizona.
The University of Arizona Wind Ensemble with Gregg Hanson as conductor and Wind Symphony with Kevin Holzman as conductor, present Lincoln’s Birthday Tribute featuring a spectacular patriotic medley. Included will be Sousa’s marches, Gould’s American Salute, America the Beautiful, Gershwin’s Rhapsody in Blue with Tannis Gibson on piano and Copland’s Lincoln Portrait with Grayson Hirst as narrator.
