Love was definitely in the air on Saturday, February 9 at the home of Jim and Sue Dailey.
With a Valentine’s Day theme, SaddleBrooke Francophiles celebrated the occasion donning appropriate attire, dined on a variety of savory and sweet dishes, all the while listening to strains of French love songs. Door prizes were given to lucky winners and each guest received special Valentine’s treats. A lovely time was had by all at our first ever Pink and White Party.
The infinite variety of “Foods and Wines of France” will be enjoyed by all Francophiles on Saturday, March 16. The regions of Alsace-Lorraine, Provence, Normandy/Brittany, Burgundy/Rhone, and Bordeaux/Toulouse will be represented by a myriad of appetizers and cheeses, salads, entrees and desserts. Members will create their special dishes to share and complimentary wines will be poured to accompany their dishes. Should be a memorable evening for all!
Members will be treated to the whimsical side of Paris with games, like boules, and contests, like the Waiters’ Race, at our “Paris in the Park” Party on April 13. With a picnic type theme, shared foods will include finger sandwiches, mini quiches and fun desserts. A great event to conclude our season of events!
Diners a la Maison intimate dinners are continuing to be enjoyed on April 18. Mylinda Guillen chairs this event and it has continued to be a welcome staple in our schedule of events.
