NOTE: Latin dancing is vigorous and aerobic and very good for seniors’ bodies, minds and balance. Be sure you ask for your doctor’s approval!
In general: Dance is a form of exercise that integrates the mind, body and soul and works for all ages and skill levels. For starters it can help counteract the daily effects of sitting too much. Plus, even at the beginner level, dancing can improve posture.
Learn to Dance at Home
Each of our dance classes is videoed by our talented Member/Videographer Carol Newhouse. At the end of each course, Carol converts her video clips into instructional DVDs, which are available for $10 per DVD. Our current catalog lists 22 DVDs covering 15 different dances, both beginning and intermediate. Contact us for a catalog.
