At the October Users Group meeting, instructor Leigh Beaty gave an informative presentation on Skype, a telecommunications application product that specializes in providing video chat and voice calls between computers, tablets, mobile devices, the Xbox One console and smartwatches via the internet. Additionally, Skype provides instant messaging services. Users may transmit both text and video messages and may exchange digital documents such as images, text and video. Skype also allows video conference calls.
User Group meetings are held every month from September through April. We offer a free presentation on a computer related topic to all SaddleBrooke and SaddleBrooke Ranch residents and their guests. Usually occurring on the third Monday of the month in the MountainView West Ballroom at 1:00 p.m., our meetings customarily include a Q&A session and a door prize. The next Users Group meeting will be held on December 18 at 1:00 p.m. Click on the Users Group tab of the Computer Club website for details about the meeting topic.
