A golf cart parade of 35 carts escorted the 2014 Arizona State Democratic candidates to a tumultuous welcome in SaddleBrooke. On a steamy Labor Day afternoon, almost 200 residents turned out on the tennis patio for a rally for candidates Fred Duval, governor, Terry Goddard, secretary of state, Felicia Rotellini, attorney general, David Garcia, superintendent of public education, Jo Holt, LD 11 state senator and Holly Lyon, LD11 state representative.
Each person spoke briefly about his or her candidacy and the steps he or she plans to take to move Arizona forward into its future. The enthusiasm of the crowd was overwhelming. The candidates were clearly energized and focused on a clear message as they begin their fall campaign in the state and our community.
