Unit 11

On March 17, 18 ladies from Unit 11 met at Wildflower for a fun social and a delicious lunch. Unit 11 ladies will get together three more times this year for lunch outings.
Unit 21
Well, maybe everybody didn’t have steak, but when you dine at Sullivan’s Steakhouse, it’s a pretty good bet there was a fair amount of red meat consumed at the Unit 21 Ladies Monthly Luncheon on March 3. According to Host Tammy Beeler, 24 ladies from the unit attended and everyone seemed to enjoy their meals.
These luncheons are held at different restaurants on the first Friday of the month throughout the year, with host responsibilities rotating among the attendees. If you are interested in attending a future luncheon, information is posted regularly on the Unit 21 website or call Tammy Beeler at 520-825-4096.

Chuck Aurand once again graciously hosted unit residents at the February 24 Snack and Chat. He has a lovely large floor plan that suits entertaining and he is the consummate host. The evening temperature was brisk but a few residents ventured outside, mostly to stand and chat with the beautiful view from the patio. The larger number stayed inside, chatting and snacking on the large selection of yummy food offerings from the attendees. It is always nice to see conversations among neighbors, some of whom have just met, and these Snack and Chats are the perfect opportunity to get acquainted with each other.
HOA Board President Bill Einecker was presented as the guest speaker at the March 6 Unit meeting; however, rather than giving a prepared speech, he immediately opened up the floor to questions. Unit 27 residents have historically been active in HOA 2 civic activities and the questions and ensuing discussions, largely focusing on the upcoming transition, were very educational and useful. Larry Zanatta, our Unit Representative, has been very helpful to Unit 27 residents by bringing in resources to keep the residents informed of things that might affect them. Kudos to Larry!
In the business meeting portion of the Unit meeting, Cindy Sheckler, who has the cleanest garage in town, volunteered to coordinate a unit Block Party. As she was just given this assignment in early March, details will be forthcoming shortly. Watch for an email on the subject.
It has been a while since the unit has had a formal Bocce Ball event and Fira Stout decided to take the bull by the horn and organize one. Nine residents and one guest, Fira’s Kansas cousin, played two Bocce Ball games on late afternoon of March 15. According to Fira, “much harassment among the teams made it an enjoyable event!”
Work hard, play hard; Unit 27 residents know how to have fun!
Unit 30

Fifteen women from Unit 30 celebrated St. Patrick’s Day two days early on March 15 by lunching together at Torino’s Restaurant. Joyce Sutay, one of the organizers of the event, handed out St. Patrick’s Day favors and started the luncheon by giving each of the women a different and interesting Irish wish to read. New residents of Unit 30 and long-term Unit members bonded over good food and conversation. This was the first of many planned luncheons of the Unit 30 Restaurant Rovers.
Our social committee is in full swing and has more exciting events planned for the future.
