Don’t know what to do with that unused bicycle that has been hanging around in your garage? Do you have some cycling clothing or accessories that are taking up some valuable space? Would you like to make a tax-deductible contribution at year-end that could help someone in need? Well the SaddleBrooke Cyclemasters have a solution to your dilemma.
The SaddleBrooke Cyclemasters Cycling Club is announcing a new Bicycle Round-up campaign to enable the less fortunate to obtain a bicycle for mere pleasure or as a means of transportation. Teaming with Bicas (Bicycle Inter Community Art and Salvage) the club wants to provide bicycles for people such as the homeless, refugees, youth riding clubs and students. The recipient can:
* Buy a refurbished or as-is bike
* Earn-a-bike with work trade
* Buy new and used bike parts and learn how to fix their bike themselves
Bicas is Tucson’s bicycle recycling and education center and has been serving the Tucson cycling community since 1989. It is a 501c3 tax-exempt collective. If you so desire, check out their website at [email protected].
The Cyclemasters will be rounding up those bicycles on Saturday, December 10 from 9:00 a.m. to noon in the parking lot just outside the MountainView Clubhouse. Or, if you can’t transport the bike(s) we’ll come and pick it up for you. Just call 520-444-1088 from 8:00 to 11:00 a.m. the morning of the event and we’ll schedule a pick-up. It’s as easy as that!
So please, help us help the less fortunate. Donate that bike, bike clothing or accessories at the SaddleBrooke CycleMasters Bicycle Round-up. Yahoo!
