Holidays come and go and each year we celebrate them. Large or small, they are all important. In America we recognize 10 days as national holidays and an additional 11 as special days of commemoration or recognition. Valentine’s Day is reserved for cupid and his arrows of love. Memorial Day, the start of summer, is marked by the traditional picnic and parade and a celebration with fireworks on the Fourth of July is mandated by our national and patriotic spirit. Thanksgiving is traditionally honored with family and friends around a table set with turkey, dressing and pumpkin pie. But, “What do we do with Christmas?”
Make plans now to attend the Catalinas Community Chorus program, What do we do with Christmas? as we explore a few of the ways in which Christmas is celebrated. This interesting musical program, directed by Bill Bellah, will be presented on Sunday, November 20, 2016 at 3:00 p.m. at Resurrection Lutheran Church, 11575 N. 1st Avenue, Oro Valley, Arizona. Tickets are $10 each for adults – free for age 18 and under. They are available by calling 520-303-6474, from chorus members, online at catalinascommunitychorus.org or at the door on concert day.
