Riding for the kids! More than 500 American Legion motorcycle riders from across the United States participated in the 13th annual American Legion Legacy Scholarship Run riding 700 miles from Hutchinson, KS to Minneapolis, MN, the site of the 2018 American Legion National Convention. The riders make the annual long and sometimes perilous journey to raise awareness of and money for The American Legion Legacy Scholarship Fund. More than $1.3M was raised this year. The scholarships pay college tuition for the children of military personnel who have lost their lives while serving on active duty since 9/11 and severely disabled veterans who have served since 9/11. American Legion Riders Chapters are comprised of members of the American Legion, the American Legion Auxiliary and the Sons of The American Legion, each member a motorcycle riding enthusiast.
