Partners Western Dance Club has a lot of boot scooting dancing fun scheduled for the upcoming year. Our first dance will be on Thursday, January 26, in the MountainView Ballroom. The Warren Graves’ Workingman’s Band will play for us. They played for us on December 5 and did a great job. After we all agreed how good they were, we arranged for them to play for us again. The doors and Cash Bar will open at 6:00 p.m. and the band will play from 6:30 until 9:30 p.m.
The club also has scheduled dances on Friday, February 17, with Branded Duo; Thursday, March 23 the Workingman’s Band will return and Friday, April 7 again with Branded Duo. Mark your calendars so you don’t miss the great music and the dancing fun.
Membership in the Partners Western Dance Club is $15 per person.
Jane and Stan Gromelski, SaddleBrooke residents, will offer Arizona Two Step dance classes on Wednesdays in January, starting on January 4, in the MountainView Ballroom at 6:00 p.m. Classes will continue on January 11 and 18. The tuition for the three class series will be $24 per couple. This is the Two Step done at the Oracle Inn by the local dancers on Fridays and Saturdays. It is also called the Rhythm Two Step. It is different than the Texas Two Step we usually teach, which offers more variations. We do have enough Arizona Two Steps to keep us busy learning.
At 7:00 p.m. on Wednesdays, January 4, 11 and 18, we will offer Partner Pattern dance classes in the MountainView Ballroom. We have two totally new dances that we can teach beginners and Intermediates together. We are offering Pattern dance classes on Wednesdays since we do not have the Mesquite Fitness room available on Thursdays in January.
In February we will resume our usual Texas Two Step and Western Waltz classes for Beginners and Intermediates on Wednesdays and Partner Pattern Dance classes on Thursdays.
