Thanks to all of our volunteers and participants, our Charity Tournament for Children was a huge success again this year. We raised over $25,000 to benefit at-risk youth in Pima and Pinal Counties. The weather held out and almost 150 golfers participated to give back to our community.
University of Arizona retired Coach Lute Olson donated his time to help raise money for the cause. Our principal sponsor again this year was Emerson Knowles of Merrill Lynch Wealth Management. Other major sponsors include Bank of the West, Apache Gold Casino, Fairwinds Desert Point, Proactive Medical and Royal Buick GMC Cadillac. In total we had 75 sponsors throughout the community.
All money raised will be given back to beneficiaries including Coronado K-8 School, Little Hooves & Big Hearts, Math Plus (Amphitheater School District), Oracle School District-Corrections Program, Sycamore Canyon Academy and Individual Youth Scholarships.
