So what if it was over a year ago that the Chicago Cubs broke their 108 drought to win the 2016 pennant! There are over 100 members of the SaddleBrooke Windy City Club who just can’t get over that incredible feat.
October 18 was an unforgettable potluck gathering at the HOA One tennis courts. Cub fans are loyal for sure and last year Chicago marketing went crazy with their incredible and memorable souvenirs.
Connie Ton displays her cherished Rizzo Wrap (first baseman Anthony Rizzo had made a bet with Reynolds Wrap that if the Cubs won the World Series, Reynolds Wrap would create a foil just for him.) Warren Wiwat had the biggest grin when he won his box of the Collector’s Edition of Rizzos (honey nut toasted oat cereal) and two Chicago tee-shirt winners included smiling members Sherry Kaplan and Lori Goldstein. Surely these souvenirs will be cherished for a long time.
