The Resurrection Church men’s breakfasts are about to begin. The first breakfast in a season that goes from October to May will be on Saturday, October 1. The time is 7:30 a.m. and the location is the Outreach Center at the main campus in Oro Valley.

This is a popular activity for the men of the church. At peak season, usually about 60 attend with about a dozen being from SaddleBrooke. The always outstanding food is especially prepared by Mary Jensen, the mother of Senior Pastor Al Jensen. After everyone is done eating, there is a program and the October program will feature Outreach Pastor Randy Winsand who was new in his position last February. He will discuss his first few months on the job as well as what he hopes to accomplish in the immediate future. Other programs planned for the year include a chief of police, SaddleBrooke’s own Pat Webb who will discuss pharmacy and a retired superintendent of schools.

Three SaddleBrooke residents, Duane Hartzler, Al Toensing and Gary Zellinger, are on the breakfast planning committee. Duane and Al have been at it for several years. Gary joined the committee after the SaddleBrooke congregation formed in the fall of 2014.

The breakfasts take place on the first Saturday of the month. Any residents of our community who are interested in going should contact one of the committee members. You do not need to be a member of the church to attend.

Resurrection Church at SaddleBrooke holds its traditional all-denominational Sunday worship at 10:00 a.m. in the Vermilion Room at the HOA 1 Clubhouse. Starting mid-October and continuing until the end of April there will be services at 8:30 and 10:00 a.m. All are welcome.
