It’s never too hot to dance

Dancing is a great aerobic exercise.

Dancing is a great aerobic exercise.

If you don’t like to get up at 5:00 a.m. to walk or jog, there is an alternative way to exercise during these hot summer months. Dance! Dancing is a great aerobic exercise as well as being good for balance, coordination and your brain. It takes a lot of brain power to get those feet, arms and partner to all work together.

There are many opportunities to dance the summer away in our air-conditioned clubhouses. The dance floor in the SaddleBrooke Clubhouse is available on Wednesday mornings 10:00 to 11:30 a.m. for practice. You are welcome to provide your own music.

DJ’s are available to provide all types of music for dancing at the following times: Wednesdays, 4:00 to 5:30 p.m. and Saturdays, 10:00 to 11:30 a.m., both sessions in the Vermilion Room of the SaddleBrooke Clubhouse; Sundays 4:00 to 5:30 p.m. at the MountainView Clubhouse Ballroom. All SaddleBrooke and SaddleBrooke Ranch residents are welcome. In addition, on the first Thursday of the month folks gather in the SaddleBrooke Clubhouse for dinner and dancing. Dancing begins at 5:30 p.m.

These summer dance opportunities are sponsored by the Let’s Dance Club and the SaddleBrooke Ballroom Dance Club. These two clubs have a combined membership fee of $10 per person per year. Membership gives you access to the activities of both clubs. Updated information is available on our Facebook page – Let’s Dance Club of SaddleBrooke.
