Institute for Learning in Retirement

Intriguing lineup of courses offered

Leigh Leuthold

Why not expand your horizons this winter and learn something new? The Institute for Learning in Retirement (ILR) is offering an enticing lineup of courses.

These courses are designed specifically for active retirees and are taught by resident experts. Most classes are four to six weeks in length and meet once a week for two hours. They are stress free as no tests are given and there are no papers to write. Participants are part of a stimulating environment where knowledge is shared and ideas are explored.

To join the community of learners, all you need to do is pay $25 to become a lifetime ILR member. You can then register for classes at $15 per course. In addition, members receive advance notice of class offerings.

Peruse the list below, pick your favorites and then go to www.sbilr.org where you will find more detailed class descriptions and information on how to become a member and register for classes. But don’t delay; the classes fill quickly!
