Martha “Marty” Kreiling

Martha “Marty” Kreiling, 83, passed away peacefully in Boise, Idaho with her son by her side on Thursday, January 12, 2017, after a courageous battle with Alzheimer’s.

Marty was born to Charles and Annie Sterrett in Grove City, Pennsylvania, one of four children. At the age of 43 she married the love of her life Samuel Kreiling. Though short in stature, she was tall in her faith and spread that passion to everyone she met.

Marty loved opera for the drama, costumes and music and she also loved classical music and jazz. She played the flute and her husband, Sam, played violin for the Southern Arizona Symphony Orchestra (SASO). Both Sam and Marty were instrumental in building SASO membership.

Marty’s passion for chocolate helped create a chocolate club of close friends in Tucson. In her final days she was still enjoying chocolate and family.

Marty is survived by her husband Sam, son Scott (Cheryl), daughter Amy (Roy), two brothers Jim and John (Teresa) and grandchildren Chae and Cole.
