HOA 2 strategic plan seeks public comment

Last winter HOA 2 initiated strategic planning aimed at creating a pro-active plan focused on supporting and improving SaddleBrooke’s active adult lifestyle. The plan was approved at the June HOA 2 Board meeting, pending community comments. Residents of HOA 2 may read the plan and make comments by going to http://www.sbhoa2.org and logging in. Click on the link in red for the Strategic Plan located on the left side of the page. This links gives residents access to both the plan and the eform for submitting comments.

The Strategic Planning Task Force issued its first progress report to homeowners in November 2015. That report included SaddleBrooke HOA 2’s first Vision and Mission statements. The vision, “Live your dreams and reinvent yourself in SaddleBrooke’s unparalleled foothills environment” reflects the dynamism of the community we have all created and enjoy. The mission statement provides specific directions to optimize a healthy, friendly, intellectually challenging and vibrant lifestyle, ensure a customer-focused organization, cultivate the strengths of our activities and clubs, maintain a safe, secure and attractive community, provide a financially stable and well managed environment and foster a unique and treasured southwest active lifestyle.

The Vision and Mission statements were derived directly from the 2015 Homeowner Survey answered by 54% of HOA 2 residents. In addition to answering multiple choice questions about lifestyle, governance and facilities, residents provided more than 10,000 comments.

The Strategic Plan will be refined in September following community feedback. The Strategic Planning Task Force is currently engaged in benchmarking SaddleBrooke against other active adult communities. The Task Force will share results of benchmarking once the process is completed.
