CCP’s Dinner Mystery has been cast

Andrea Molberg

Start planning now to attend Community Circle Players’ new dinner mystery Mafioso Murders. Many fine CCP performers plus two newcomers, one from SaddleBrooke Ranch, turned out for auditions held mid-November. CCP’s Director Susan Sterling just revealed the cast members are Ron Andrea – Mickey D’Goon, Fran Berman – Black Widow Betty, JP Blount – Mugsy Malone, Judi Brauns – Abey Cus, Shawne Cryderman – Angel Scampini, Ed Drager – Giuseppe Calzone (Godfather), David Fuller – Rocko the Boxer, Patty Gregory-Burke – Dr. Rusty Blade, Monica Gustafson – Foxy Hydes, Fred Lowy – Sgt. McBribery, Ande Molberg – Miss Trial, Karen Moore – Tootsie Calzone, Judi Rickner – Aunt Chovie and Connie Ward as Tipsey Brewhider.

Sterling said she had a difficult time choosing just the right part for each actor/actress, because “everyone did such a good job at auditions; nothing like a wealth of talent to make a director happy!”

Rehearsals will begin in January, continuing three times a week though early March and more frequently late March up until the performances. Carol Merlini serves as assistant director and Shawne Cryderman as producer.

CCP’s dinner mystery Mafioso Murders is set in an Italian restaurant in the 1930s. Find out if the Calzone Mob family’s Godfather makes it to his next birthday and at the same time be served a delicious, plated, Italian themed meal all for the price of $49!

The CCP mystery dinner performances of Mafiaso Murders will be April 8, 9, 10 and 11 in the HOA One Vistas and April 12, 13 and 14 at HOA Two Ballroom with additional performances if needed.

Tickets go on sale February 7, 2018 at both HOAs when you can book a table or purchase individual seats. Again this year, Eve Fly’s Walls of Wonder two 24” x 36” paintings that will be part of the set will be raffled off.

Last February CCP’s first murder mystery dinner theatre production Eat, Drink and Be Deadly was such an overwhelming success that additional performances were needed to accommodate the demand for tickets, so this production will probably draw great crowds, too. Almost 900 were served great food and entertainment at the 2017 dinner mystery show.
