What do you do Thursday nights?

The Square Dancer Sprites

SaddleBrooke Squares Dance Clubbers are all having fun together each Thursday night at 7:00 p.m. walking about 2.3 miles until 8:30 p.m.! But isn’t it dark outside, you ask? Yes! But we are inside either in the MountainView Ballroom at the Chaparral, or the Catalina Community Center, or the Tennis Pavilion, or a ranch up in Oracle. And we are walking in squares for even more fun. Those wearing Fitbits on their wrists tell us that all the steps we do equal to a bit over two miles! Who knew?

Recently we cleared out all the tables under the roof at the Gila monster group area at Catalina State Park and danced, raising the roof in spite of the wind and rain droplets, our spirits raised as well! Nothing can dampen the spirits of Square Dancer Sprites! We encourage everyone to just give us a whirl and see for yourselves! We had over four plus squares of eight dancing; then we progressed to our popular barbecue potluck. Ron Hunter stepped in for Larry Kraber as caller; he was handily assisted by his wife Nancy holding the umbrella quite impressively to thwart the winds to keep the electronic equipment dry and secured down. Life is good! All is well! Be good to yourself; give yourself a gift of laughter, fun, exercise and friendships.
