Variety spices up Republican Club’s September meeting

Patricia Tarner

First on the agenda was Aimee Rigler, Director of Communications and Government Relations. Ms. Rigler spoke about the concerns surrounding Proposition 417 which would increase the current ½ cent sales tax dedicated to fund regional transportation projects by an additional ½ cent, costing taxpayers approximately $640 million over the next 20 years.

Next on the agenda was Stan Hustad, story teller extraordinaire. His velvet voice mesmerized and entertained the audience with colorful vignettes of our President Donald Trump.

Also, Bret Roberts who is running for the Arizona House of Representatives, Mark Finchem who is running for the Arizona House of Representatives and Kevin Cavanaugh who is running for the United States Congress spoke briefly about their conservative Republican platforms.

A well balanced program informed  and entertained the SaddleBrooke Republican Club audience at the September meeting.
