UFOs and Exopolitics

Glenda Anderson

Viewing through a telescope in September 1975, Mike Bird, from Ontario, Canada, watched the sky as a UFO hovered over Lake Ontario for more than two hours. Please join the SaddleBrooke Metaphysical Study Group on Wednesday, February 10, 2016, from 7:00 to 9:00 p.m. in the SaddleBrooke Activity Center as Mike shares information relating to his numerous UFO sightings, investigations and research.

In July 1976, Mike attended his first MUFON Symposium in Ann Arbor, Michigan, and became a member of the international organization known as MUFON as well as a local group, Toronto Society for Psychical Research (TSPR). Combining his analytical abilities as a computer analyst with his common-sense instincts, Mike became convinced that UFOs are real. His subsequent investigations and research have only fueled this conviction, along with the belief that we live in a fully populated universe.

Mike has been a UFO researcher for 40 years. He has spoken on the subject of UFOs at various libraries and senior groups in Toronto, as well as at UFO conferences in Toronto, Ireland, Washington, D.C. and Brisbane, Australia. In 1995 he organized a UFO Discussion and Abduction Support group called The Toronto Society for Planetary Connections. In 2005 he co-organized a UFO Symposium at the University of Toronto. At this conference the former Minister of Defense for Canada, the Honorable Paul Hellyer, publically stated that “UFOs are as real as the airplanes that fly overhead.”

For the last ten years Mike has been an active researcher in the Exopolitical field. In 2005 he started up Exopolitics Canada and continues to maintain its website. According to bibliotecapleyades.net, “Exopolitics, as the name suggests, is extraterrestrial politics. If one accepts the von Daniken hypothesis that ETs have visited the Earth and intervened in Earth affairs since ancient times, it follows that humankind has already been engaged in exopolitical relations with at least one ET group, i.e., at least one exopolitical party.” Mike will explain exopolitics in depth and discuss his involvement and activity within the UFO community over the years. Mike says he “firmly believes that UFOs are the keys from our past to unlock our future, that humanity has the power to change the world into a place where we all want to live, and that it is a ‘just in time’ movement to help our planet transition into the next chapter of our evolution.”

Mike resides with his wife Susan in Mount Albert, Ontario, Canada and is nearly finished writing a book about UFOs and Exopolitics.
