The faces of rescue

Donna and Teeka

Donna and Teeka

Every rescue has two faces—the pet who is abandoned, traumatized and often abused or hurt and the human, a fearless soul who risks their time, finances and heart to save the helpless. Such a rescue occurred when our partner, Donna with RUFF Rescue, answered a plea from Pima Animal Care Center to rescue Teeka, a 10 year old blind Shih Tzu.

We suspect Teeka was dumped by her owner who said they “found her.” She’s sweet and loving and wants nothing more than a family where she’ll feel safe. Your donations to the Network join you to hundreds of rescues just like Teeka.

The Network’s annual fundraising campaign closed in March raising $8,603. A gigantic thank you to all who supported us. Sadly, we didn’t reach our $10,000 goal but we’re hoping those who didn’t renew their membership will “re-member” us at www.sbpetrescue.com or by mail to SaddleBrooke Pet Rescue, c/o E. Summers, 39459 S. Moonwood Drive, SaddleBrooke, Arizona 85739. Donations are not tax deductible.

Teeka waits for her “forever” family. She’s healthy (though blind with hearing loss), vaccinated and had a dental checkup. Contact Leslie at [email protected] or 724-689-9843 to meet her.
