The SaddleBrooke Table Tennis Club had nine players participate in the Tucson Senior Olympic Festival Tournament on January 29. The event was held in the Armory Senior Center in downtown Tucson. The facility has eight tournament quality tables.
Our club had its most successful results ever bringing home a total of 18 medals. The tournament was broken down by age group and gender in five year increments beginning at age 50.
SaddleBrooke winners were Beverly Rich gold singles, gold doubles, silver mixed doubles; Eileen Sedgwick silver singles, gold doubles, gold mixed doubles; Ed Mandler gold singles, gold doubles, gold mixed doubles; Tom Sacra gold singles, gold doubles; Terry Caldwell bronze singles, bronze doubles; Greg Hlushko gold singles, gold doubles; Joe Staker silver singles; Fred Flanagan silver singles; Dan Plattner gold singles.
The SaddleBrooke Table Tennis Club plays five days per week in the Fitness Room in the Mesquite building. The club welcomes new members of all experience levels and more information can be found at our website, sbttc.wordpress.com.
