On July 28, the SaddleBrooke Sunrise Rotary Club hosted representatives of the SaddleBrooke Troop Support (STS) at its weekly meeting. Attending from the STS were George Bidwell, president and Bo Nanna, publicity chair. Mr. Bidwell shared the history in the formation of the organization with the start in 2005. Initially the organization was known as the Tucson Troop Support; however, in 2014, as a 501C-3 non-profit, the group changed names to the SaddleBrooke Troop Support.

The primary goal of the STS is to provide support to active military and retirees in Tucson and southern Arizona. Assistance ranges from food banks, food cards, clothing and household needs as well as cash vouchers when needed. The STS also provides direct assistance through volunteers in staffing and stocking the Military Liaison office located at the Tucson International Airport.

In all, the STS offers a myriad of assistance to our active and retired military. The organization is a great representative of the support shown by SaddleBrooke to all members of the local military.
