Summer art classes return

Kay Sullivan

By popular demand, members of the SaddleBrooke Fine Arts Guild will again offer several half day art classes throughout the summer months. This is a good time to try new things without making a month long commitment. Due to the preparation efforts to teach these classes, the fee will be $20 for three hours plus a $5 supply fee if necessary. These classes have not yet been scheduled as of this writing, but watch the guild’s website to see when they are posted. Visit www.saddlebrookefinearts.com and select classes.

The Registrar will be on vacation for the summer so you will need to call the instructor directly to enroll and then pay on the day of class. We will provide phone numbers on the website listing.

To entice you, here are a few classes that we know that will be scheduled, some of which are back by popular demand. We are calling them our Encore classes.

Instructor Robbie Summers: Splash (Watercolor and Sharpie); Mosaics in Patterned Papers; Abstracts created through a viewfinder (Colored Pencil or Watercolor); Watery Fish on Rice Paper (Watercolor and Sharpies); Spaces Between (Watercolor or Colored Pencil)

Instructor Joanna Voisine: Watercolor Batik

Instructor Karen Brungardt: Encore – Watercolor skies; Watercolor clouds; Encore – Wild and Wooly Watercolor (Content from form); Desert Birds in watercolor.
